Happy Two Powered by Five

As you celebrate another milestone, I proudly affirm that you embody the wisdom, “Be kind, and you will never regret it.” Your kindness and achievements fill us with immense pride. Just days ago, as we marked our 34th wedding anniversary, I reflected on how much joy you have brought to our lives. Even to Vishnu. from the moment he arrived, you became his guiding light, just as you have been for us.

My Pearl in the Land of Pearls

Your philosophy of spreading laughter without harming others speaks volumes of your character. I cherish when, after spending time with underprivileged children, you said, “The world has been far kinder to me than I have been to it.” Such wisdom, my darling!

That summer morning 32 years ago, when I first held you, my life changed forever. At 8:36 AM on April 3rd, our world transformed. The moment our eyes met, I knew our bond was eternal. You were the angel who gave my life new purpose, deepening my love for Aparna. With your humor (which, of course, comes from me!) and a heart full of love (thanks to Amma), you are a perfect blend of all things wonderful.

The embrace we first shared has only grown stronger with time. Your dedication to helping the underprivileged inspires us all. You truly are a Seva Warrior.

A great moment of immense pride was when you became a mother to Anay. Though I had heard of the joy of becoming a grandparent, nothing prepared me for the life-changing moment of holding Anay for the first time.

You are strong, compassionate, and independent, and I am endlessly proud to call you mine. If you ever doubt how beautiful the world is with you in it, just look through my eyes. My only wish for you is that this year brings even greater joy and fulfillment.

Have a wonderful birthday and an incredible year ahead, my darling! And Yes! The biggest gift for any parent, is to have daughter around you and living close to you. I am an extremely fortunate and lucky father to have you as a daughter. If I God were to appear before me and grant me a wish to rewind and let me chart a different course, I would ask Him to bless me the exact journey I had so far with you. Thank you for BEING YOU.

With all my love, A Proud Father

A Bit Older and More Fabulous

As you cross yet another landmark year on the planet, and looking back I can boldy assert to the world that you lived the saying “Be Kind, you will never regret that” Yes! Everything that you have done so far, has been making us parents so proud. I did mention just a couple of days ago, as we celebrated our 32nd Wedding Anniversary as to how you brought us to the threshold of wholesomeness of our blissful journey of togetherness and to make it so fulfilling once your brother came along, the brother who always looked up to you for everything, just like us.

Just as I return from Sabarimala on the Special Day. Arun Bombing this Picture made it even better

I still remember who you always used to tell people to make people laugh but never to laugh at them. What a nice thought! It is always a proud moment when we know we birthed someone who is humane and always find ways to do good to the world, without expecting the world to return any favour. I am not sure you remember what you said after an outing with under privileged children (not exactly these words but the purport is definitely this) – “I realised that the world is infinitely good to me, than I am to the world” What a wonderful thought darling!

Happy Birthday my Darling! I am truly blessed to have such a special princess in my life!

Yet another proudest moment was when you brought Anay into the world. While we have spent all these years watching you grow up and though many kept talking about the feeling any parent would have, We were not quite prepared for that day when you delivered Anay on October 11th, 2022 and for me to carry him on his first day is moment I can never describe in words.

When you consoled me and gave me strength – a few moments before Anay came along

Could not help to recall our momentous day on 3rd April 1993 when Aparna brought you, the gift of our lives. I tell you, the feeling of being a Grand parent is much more overwhelming, for which any human being should be proud of and remain grateful to a Daughter. Oh yes! Grateful to proud father of Anay and your other half and our Pride, Arun too. Just to keep looking at our little one grow up to deliver her little bundle of joy – as I said earlier, I was not prepared for that feeling on top of the world

Not just hair greying, I grew up a lot too
The moment!!!

A strong, lovely, kind woman with independence. I’m so proud to say you’re mine. It would not be an exaggeration to state that you made me realise more about me and the world around me, than anyone else. Do you know how beautiful the world is, with you in our life? If you don’t know, look through my eyes. Thank you for being you.

When people asked me how do you manage to remain cool under any circumstance, even the most adverse one – my reply was and always would be – “you don’t have what I have” – That is You! You were are. Not sure who said this, but in your case it is very true, “As you’ve grown, you have taught me so many things in life. Over the years you’ve taught me to have endless patience, unlimited affection, and eternal love” For those who keep telling the pangs of raising a teenage daughter (or even a son), I am yet to figure out what was so difficult. Aparna would totally agree that, it was never once a challenge – Just in case it happened without all of us not knowing – thank God, WE CROSSED THAT IN STYLE.

Dedicating this song which just is what my heart is singing today. Meri duniya tu hi re! Just as you cross yet another year of brining happiness, joy and calm to everyone around you, I only have the best wishes to you.

Happy Birthday Divya! You got a bit older and a lot more fabulous.

Happy Birthday Di – Love you >>Infinite number of selfies you click

To my princess and verily a part of my soul – Birthday Greetings to you as you enter the final year of 20s and begin the countdown for 30s. It would be a cliche if I say, it looks like yesterday that Sister Almeida came and placed the little bundle of infinite joy in my grateful arms – that is an oft felt thoughts of any father who is fortunate to have someone like you in their life. But then IT IS TRUE! We never realise the time flying away and this little bundle of joy has grown into a beautiful damsel. Happy Birthday Di.

With Sister Almeida when she was born and then 25 years later – Wasn’t I right in 1st paragraph of this piece?

A popular joke around the world is about 29th Birthday. They say this is one birthday that is celebrated so many times for many years by everyone. That feeling and urge to continue staying in 20s is irrestible. I am sure this will be your only 29th Year. Finding words that can truly express what I feel for you is tough first time and if you chose to celebrate 29th Birthday for the next 21 years, I would be language bankrupt.

While there – here is one of the most popular Humorous wish

Most birthdays come around just once, except for your 29th! You’ll notice in the years to come that every now and then you’ll be recelebrating your 29th birthday again and again!

A few days back – when my Nephew, Adharsh clicked this as she sat on my lap – IT WAS JUST LIKE IT WAS 29 YEARS AGO

These are not just words of an emotional parent – with every year you seem to be getting more beautiful, cleverer, more mature and most importantly – MORE CARING and LOVING! Every time I feel that it has saturated and it is humanly impossible to be loved or cared more, you pleasantly surprise me. Be just the way you are – Happy, Joyful and Cheerful because it is INFECTIOUS. You ensured that everyone around also become just like you, Chirpy, Bubbly and Blissed!

Statutory Warning during Pandemic – Her Cheerfulness, Joy and Smile is Contagious (It always was)

As I get to this stage of this piece, I suddenly am afflicted on what I have described in the past as Blog-Fear (like Stage-Fear). There is so much, so much to write but lost for words. You are in that phase of life when there is so much for all of us to cheer for. Resisting the urge to yell from the rooftop. Let it be for now! This moment is yours and yours alone and don’t want to preempt it and leaving it to you to TELL OR YELL! The law of nature is keep everything continual and cyclical and it is your turn now. Congratulations and Greetings on that!

On that day, which was Important Milestone of your life – Before you set on to build another Home with Arun

What I personally love the most about you is the fact that you touched 1000s of lives positively, just like you touched ours. Needless to mention, my only wish is that nothing takes your quality of loving, caring, dignifying and cheering up the world SELFLESSLY! This is a blessing from me to you and a prayer to the Divine from me – continue being the priceless GIFT to us and continue being one to the world. We learnt the joy of giving selflessly, the random act of kindness from you and we truly consider it an ornament not many apart from you can wear it naturally.

The Precious one from my Precious One
Happy Birthday Divya/Akhila (our Everything) – With loads of love from us

We love you far more than the number of selfies or photographs you get clicked. May Divine shower you His choicest blessings and more on this wonderful day and every moment of the year ahead. Your presence in our lives only proves that the Divine loves us really, else why would HE deliver this precious gift 29 years ago to us.

No tribute or gratefulness piece of mine ends without dedication of a song. This time a Tamil Number which is a favourite of my Princess and mine too. She hooked me on to this song and it is a regular one during our drives out of town. My pick of the stanza in that song (it is not just Velli, which means silver, it is something priceless)

Oru velli kolusu pola
Indha boomi sinungum keela.
Aniyaadha vairam pola
Andha vaanam minungum Mela.

Sung by one of favourite singers – Mahathi who also was/is closely associated with us (for many years now)
