Basaveshwara Temple

As part of the Annual Temple Festival, Sri Basaveshwara Temple, Thondoor, Kushalnagar, Coorg conducted various homas and Pujas for 3 days starting from 11th May 2017. It concluded with a 3-hour Special Divya Satsang by our team on Saturday, 13th May 2017. It was a moment we rejoiced, when the participants stayed back, participated very enthusiastically late in to the evening and asked for even more, considering that it was in the Elephants inhabited forest. Tiredness of driving for 240 kms from Bengaluru just dissolved in the bliss of this High energy Satsang, sweetened by the fact that it was also Birthday of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji.

This temple is a swayambu (Self Manifested) Shiva Linga believed to be more than 700 years old. Two additions (Ganesh and Subramanya) temples have added to the temple complex recently but local belief is that Shiva Linga has to be exposed to the elements of the nature and no construction is allowed around it. Thanks to Sri Dileep, President of the the Temple trust and all the management committee members, Sri Anil Kumar who introduced and blessed us and set up an amazing evening like this.
