Was pondering over the events since the last evening… Coming from a very strongly committed person, committed to my religious faith system, this blog may be a big surprise to my friends, a virtual defence of 2 alleged terrorists whose community was often subject of my humour and criticism. But friends, it has nothing to do with religion this time. It is purely a cultural and political one-upmanship game these two rogue nations (UK and the Aussies) are indulging in which is what this entry is about. This whole blog is based on the information that I, as an ordinary citizen of this great nation, have been bombarded over the past few days. So there could be some details that we’re not privy to (convenient to the authorities to create those details). The only thing, it could turn out to be damp squib like the WMD in Iraq. By the time the world gets to know the truth about these non-existence evidences and sensitive details, the damage would have been done (a la Iraq).

While it is (rather it should not be) no one’s argument that there is no place for patriotism while we are talking about terrorism, you cant just trump up charges to justify or add feathers to the investigor’s cap. I have no love lost to these youths, the alleged terrorists (at this time it is just allegation, based on assumptions, except two who were part of the act and obviously terrorists) , irrespective of the belief system they subscribe to. I also strongly feel that these two confirmed terrorist deserve whatever the law has in store. But this blog is about, the other two Indians – the only confirmed sin is they happen to know each other by way of being related. (Please note, these are the only information we have). Based on the “reckless act” theory, if lending a SIM card to your brother is deemed support to terrorism, why hasn’t the telephone company been charged too? They are as complicit as this gentleman who lent the SIM card to his brother. Hey c’mon guys, me being a brother is not a sin under any law. Assuming that brother of a person, just because they lived together has to obviously know everything that a brother does is height of Stupidity. Don’t tell me Princess Diana knew Prince Charles was sleeping with his current wife while he was married to her (atleast it took a while for her to discover) – similar circumstances, isnt it? They lived together too. But all the royals who hit the sack with anyone or anything need not tom tom the world about their escapades. My point is, “Has their complicity proven beyond doubt?” Whatever happened to the so called, “Innocent until proven otherwise” that most jurists even in the ancient, archaical cultures follow. There was this confirmed case proven beyond doubt where Peter Bleach drops arms in Purulia and these insane Jurists of the world were after the Indian Government to set this person at liberty (the excuse was that he could be subjected to their laws – as obvious now, it is a big joke). I very strongly feel about the way, so called ultimately developed nations especially in matter concerning Jurisprudence had to invent some obviously trumped up charges to justify their intelligence failure. Overnight they found some ridiculous charges to detain the suspects despite absence of any clinching evidence as confessed by the AFP. So the only salvation was to round up someone and claim to have achieved a breakthrough. UK who looted virtually the whole world and Australians considering their criminal antecedants (children of criminals cant be expected to behave with any modicum of civility, can you?) couldnt have responded any different way. They would want to save the bottoms of the Australian Federal Police or Scotland Yard or the Anti Terrorism squad.

I am baffled at the silence of Indian Government in this whole issue (or again is it a state secret – funny guys!!!). Keep it secret, so that you can dish out any shit to the citizens, a gift for having let you rule us. Are they silent because intervention in this issue would not fetch them the secularism points? The secularists of this great nation rake up religion at the drop of the hat and when citizens (I dont care if it is Hindu/Muslim/Christian or whatever) of this nation is meted out injustice, their silence is baffling indeed. Secularists, it is the minority community that is involved. Maybe you could invest some efforts so that it can translate into votes next time around. I wish this nincompoops wake up from their slumber and for a change do something for the nation (instead of doing something just to win the votes). Or am I expecting too much? This is nothing short of spinelessness and succumbing to the armtwisting of two rogue states. Or is the silence symptomatic of the secularism disease? Acknowledging it would establish the trend – majority of the suspects and confirmed terrorist belong to so called pampered minority community . Can we have these thoughts changed for a very short while please. Look at the currently charged suspects as Indians and act!!! It is a plea. You dont stand up today and you would have mortgaged the citizens of this great nation for ever.
It is not Haneef or Sabeel – friends, it is about India and Indians. And these two penny nations arent worthy enough to sit in judgement over this nation with heritage and culture exponentially ancient and valuable than theirs (if at all they have any).

To sign off, at this point of time, with the information we have in possession, the whole thing looks unfair and if it is fairly and justly proven they need to be treated the way they deserve as per law, but till then…..let us not make this world more dangerous than what it already is.

Unilateralism – American Autarky

Wondering if the early morning telly news calls for Rejoicement or Mourning? Well! for me it was a mixture of both but more of mourning. Saddam, the terrorist who had Weapons of Mass Destruction hung to death. And it was a free and fair trial and Americans had nothing to do with the judicial process. Can there be a bigger joke than this to end 2006 (yes there is another right at the end of this blog). If Saddam had to reap what he sowed, rope sellers would make it a big industry manufacturing ropes to hang the American Presidents to reap what they sowed too. Killers in Nagasakki, Hiroshima, Vietnam and at the drop of the hat bomb any place in the world as if American lives are any more precious than other lives in this world, and more recently Afghanistan, Iraq when killing and counter killing never seem to end. All said and done, Iraq was the most prosperous Arab nation despite the stories of torture and abuses (tell me which dictator USA propped up, weren’t) and it took the might of the US of A and Bush’s policy to bring Iraq to the current state.

Saddam deserved whatever he just got. My point is Saddam looks only a wee bit dirtier than Geroge Bush and whether George Bush will get his due. The numbers Saddam achieved sounds microscopic compared to what Americans are doing day in and day out, bombing left, right and centre. I am sure the innocent Americans would pay for the lousy things that this clown is doing. According to me, Bush ranks quite high along with Bin Laden, Taliban et al for making the world precarious and dangerous to live in. I am sure we haven’t seen the last act of this Play. The world will pay heavily due to the folly and fancy of this single man. In that respect, I am proud of the Indian Government‘s response. For a change, the response was immediate and prompt. Condemning the Execution. The world needs to condemn in the most despicable terms, this unilateralistic attitude of the Amercian Government. As the former U.N. human rights chief in Iraq, John Pace put it, “Human rights abuses in Iraq are as bad now as they were under Saddam Hussein, as lawlessness and sectarian violence sweep the country”

At the end of the day, George Bush you have made the world a very difficult place to live in for yourself, your countrymen and the rest of the World too… Come to think of it, all whom America is fighting today are their own creation of the past. Taliban, Saddam and many more who are tightening the noose round the neck of USA. Having dug a deep hole called Iraq, something worse than Vietnam is in the making.

You have to give it to the Americans or more specifically someone who answers to the name George Bush – whose origin is explained below
