There was this man who was fast asleep one day and he had a vision of God in his dream, who asked him to push a massive rock which was lying outside his home across his bedroom’s window.

He was told to give it 100% and use all his strength and never to let his efforts drop. He started pushing the rock with all his might every morning till night. At the end of the day’s effort, it was discouraging for him to find that the rock has not budged an inch and his morale was dropping.

Gradually but surely he was losing his mental and physical strength but he kept up his effort. The devil seized this person’s vulnerable moment and put the following thoughts in his mind, “you are never going to move this rock any bit, why all these efforts, efforts towards an impossible task which is anyway in vain”.

The man now was truly disheartened and realized the futility of his efforts because he was tuned to think that it was an impossible task that the God set for him.

Before aborting his efforts totally, he decided to pray and find out “Why God all my efforts as directed by your will is going in vain? Where and Why did I fail” God again appeared and explained that when he decided to obey him and he agreed his task was to use all his strength, giving it 100% to push the rock, which he did. God never expected it to be moved.

Therefore he had fulfilled the mandate of God and he was not a failure though he has totally spent all his strength. But did he really fail – no it was not a wasted effort, his muscles were much more stronger, hands and legs were better worked out ready to take on any task in the world.

Through this great obstacle called rock, much was gained though it appeared a failure. God’s call was to push the rock and this person just blindly invested his Faith in God’s wisdom due to which he only got stronger. So saying, the God just pushed the Rock away removing the obstacle.

Lesson:

When HE says something, we tend to use our intellect trying to decode the inner meanings, when what was required was plain faith and acceptance of HIS wisdom. When things seem to go wrong, PUSH! When people are against you PUSH. PUSH works because it means Pray Until Something Happens
